Operations Lead, West Africa
A full-time logistics role at Kobo360, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
About the role
Kobo360 is a logistics technology platform connecting cargo owners with truck drivers across Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Kenya, and Uganda. The Operations Lead owns the West Africa truck and driver supply and the cargo-to-truck matching operation. Application deadline 31 July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Own daily operations: truck onboarding, dispatcher coverage, route planning, and trip execution.
- Manage a team of five to eight operations associates and dispatchers across Lagos, Accra, and Lome.
- Track operational KPIs (truck utilisation, trip completion rate, on-time delivery, claim rate) and report weekly.
- Partner with sales and customer success on key cargo-owner accounts.
- Reduce per-trip operational costs through process improvements and technology adoption.
Requirements
- Five or more years of operations experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or transport.
- Demonstrated team management experience (three or more direct reports).
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on Excel and SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Authorisation to work in Nigeria.
Nice to have
- Prior experience at a logistics technology platform (Lori Systems, Sendy, Kwik Delivery).
- Knowledge of Nigerian port operations and cargo customs.
- French language ability for francophone West African routes.
