About the role
Three-year postdoctoral position at KTH’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Division of Communication Systems. The research targets 6G MIMO theory: Gigantic MIMO, cell-free networks, near-field communications, and integrated communication and sensing. The deadline is 3 June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop communication theory, concepts, and algorithms for 6G MIMO systems.
- Conduct theoretical research on physical and MAC-layer problems using MIMO theory, array signal processing, optimisation, and machine learning.
- Publish in top-tier IEEE journals and conferences.
- Participate in testbed experiments and collaborate with telecom industry partners as opportunities arise.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in electrical engineering, communications, signal processing, or a related discipline, by the employment decision date.
- At least three publications in top-tier journals in the field.
- Fluent English, oral and written.
Nice to have
- PhD completed within the last three years.
- MIMO communications research record with first-author papers in top venues.
- Experience with machine learning, signal processing, or numerical optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a research group.
