Overview

The Jackie Robinson Foundation funds minority high school seniors with a record of academic excellence and leadership potential. Beyond the cash award, the Foundation offers a four-year mentoring programme, career development support, and access to one of the most established networks of Black professionals in the country. The 2027 cycle closes 7 January 2027.

Eligibility

  • US citizen.
  • Minority high school senior planning to enrol full-time at an accredited US four-year college or university in autumn 2027.
  • Minimum SAT 1000 or ACT 21 (with allowances for test-optional cycles).
  • Demonstrated leadership and financial need.

How to apply

  1. Open the Jackie Robinson Foundation application page at the source link.
  2. Complete the online application: personal information, academic record, list of activities and leadership roles, and short essays.
  3. Submit transcripts, two recommendations, and the FAFSA student aid report.
  4. Submit before 7 January 2027. Finalists are interviewed in spring 2027; recipients notified by May 2027.
