African Leadership Centre Peace, Security and Development Fellowship 2027
A fully funded masters scholarship from African Leadership Centre (King's College London partnership), based in Kenya.
Overview
The African Leadership Centre (ALC) is a Nairobi-based institute jointly operated with King’s College London. The Peace, Security and Development Fellowship funds African students to complete an MA in Leadership and Security on the ALC Nairobi campus, with full immersion in African policy contexts. Around 25 to 30 Fellows per cohort. The 2027 cycle closes 31 August 2026.

Eligibility
- Citizen of an African country.
- Aged under 35 at the time of application.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong upper-second or first-class honours in social sciences, humanities, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of post-Bachelor’s professional experience in peace, security, development, or related sectors.
- Strong English language proficiency.
- Demonstrated commitment to African leadership and post-conflict development.

- Complete the online application: CV, two academic references, two professional references, motivation essay (1,000 words), and writing sample.
- Submit before 31 August 2026.
- Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the ALC selection panel in October-November 2026.
- Final Fellows are announced by January 2027 for the programme starting in February 2027.
