McCall MacBain Scholarships 2027 at McGill University
A fully funded masters scholarship from McCall MacBain Foundation, based in Canada.
Overview
Up to 30 McCall MacBain Scholars begin a fully funded master’s or professional program at McGill University in September 2027, including up to 10 international students. The scholarship covers over 150 eligible programs across all faculties. Partner universities in Sub-Saharan Africa - including institutions in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and South Africa - nominate candidates for the international cohort. The scholarship covers tuition in full and pays CAD 2,300/month as a living stipend, along with mentorship and leadership programming.

Eligibility
- First bachelor’s degree earned January 2021 or later, OR first bachelor’s degree earned earlier with age 30 or younger as of January 1, 2026, OR currently completing a first bachelor’s degree by August 2027
- Must meet McGill admission requirements for the chosen master’s program
- International applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa apply via the international portal (deadline 19 August 2026)
- Canadian and US applicants have a separate deadline of 23 September 2026
How to apply
Applications open 1 June 2026 on the McCall MacBain Scholars portal (separate from the McGill admissions portal). Applicants must also apply directly to their chosen McGill master’s program. Two reference forms are required. International applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa should check with their home institution for nomination procedures. The international deadline is 19 August 2026.
