SARB Master's in Data Science and Machine Learning Scholarship 2027

Overview

The South African Reserve Bank awards competitive full scholarships for the 2027 academic year to South African students pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning, with an emphasis on financial analytics. The program is delivered in collaboration with the National Graduate Academy for Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (NGA-MaSS). Scholars attend SARB and NGA-MaSS workshops, mentorship sessions, and industry engagement events throughout the year. The application promotional code is SARBDSM27. Eligibility

• South African citizen only
• Under 35 years of age in the year of registration (2027)
• Completed or currently completing an Honours degree in a relevant field with a minimum 65% average
• Provisional acceptance into a full-time Master’s program that includes financial analytics modules
• Must register as a full-time student
• Grade transcripts must be submitted by 31 December 2026
