Senior Product Manager - Inventory

About the Role

M-KOPA, one of Africa’s fastest-growing fintech companies recognised four times by the Financial Times and listed among TIME100’s most influential companies, is hiring a Senior Product Manager for Inventory to own the strategy and evolution of its enterprise inventory management systems. The role is available in any of M-KOPA’s major African markets - Nairobi, Lagos, Accra, Johannesburg, Kampala, Cairo, or Cape Town - and involves travel across these markets.

M-KOPA has served more than six million customers and unlocked USD 1.5 billion in cumulative credit for unbanked populations across Africa. The Inventory product sits within the Acquisition Sales product group and is central to scaling device distribution and refurbishment operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for M-KOPA’s inventory management systems across all African markets
• Implement and iterate on inventory control processes emphasising operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
• Enhance warehouse, supply chain, and device refurbishment capabilities through systematic product improvements
• Collaborate with finance teams on inventory valuation and reporting accuracy
• Lead system optimization including serial number tracking, reverse logistics, and repair management modules
• Drive organizational adoption of new capabilities through structured change management and stakeholder engagement

Requirements

• Five or more years managing enterprise inventory systems, including ERP platforms
• Expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or comparable enterprise inventory platforms
• Demonstrated success scaling inventory solutions across multiple locations in emerging markets
• Understanding of financial compliance requirements in inventory management
• Data-driven analytical capabilities and experience with Agile product development
• Strong written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech or financial services in African markets
• Background with warehouse management systems and reverse logistics
• Familiarity with device refurbishment operations or consumer electronics supply chains
• Knowledge of customs and import regulations across East or West Africa
