Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027-2028

Overview

The Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan invites scholars whose research focuses on Africa or the African diaspora to spend one year in residence in Ann Arbor. Eligible disciplines span the humanities, social sciences, law, business, and urban planning. The total fellowship package is valued at USD 56,000, including a USD 52,000 stipend and health insurance. Required documents include a cover letter, CV, research statement, dissertation chapter or writing sample (25-40 pages), and three letters of recommendation. Notifications are sent by 29 January 2027.
