Manchester Global Futures Scholarships for Africa 2027

Overview

The University of Manchester offers Global Futures Scholarships for African students starting a one-year postgraduate taught Masters in September 2027. The award is a partial tuition reduction worth GBP 5,000 to GBP 10,000. Open to applicants from Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Several hundred awards each cycle across all Faculty schools. The 2027 cycle closes 23 April 2027.

Eligibility

• Strong academic record at undergraduate level (typically upper-second or first-class honours).
• Cannot combine with sponsorship from a government, employer, or other major funder.
