Overview
The University of Nottingham’s Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship funds students from Africa, India, and selected developing-country regions to study Masters programmes that align with sustainable development. The award is either 50 percent or 100 percent tuition fee reduction. Around 105 awards per cycle across the eligible regions, with around 30 to 40 going to African students. The 2027 cycle closes 4 April 2027.

Eligibility
- Citizen of and ordinarily resident in Africa (most African countries qualify), India, or another eligible developing country.
- Holding (or expecting) an offer of admission to a qualifying University of Nottingham Masters programme for September 2027 entry.
- Strong undergraduate academic record (upper-second or first-class honours).
- Demonstrated commitment to using the Masters to address development challenges in your home country or region.
- Self-funding the remainder of tuition and all living costs (the scholarship is partial; full-ride is rare).
How to apply
- Apply for admission to your chosen qualifying Nottingham Masters programme.
- Once you hold an offer, complete the Developing Solutions Scholarship application form linked from the source page.
- Submit a motivation letter (max 750 words) on how your Masters will help address a specific development challenge in your home country.
- Submit before 4 April 2027.
- Final scholars are announced by June 2027 for September 2027 entry.
