Nucleate Activator Program 2026 (formerly Catalyst)
A partial scholarship from Nucleate, based in Multiple.
Overview
Activator is the flagship programme of Nucleate, a global student-led nonprofit that helps academic scientists turn lab work into companies. It is a six-month, equity-free training cohort for early-stage biotech and life-sciences founders. Nucleate pairs each founding team with mentors from established biotech firms, venture capital partners, and corporate law firms, and the cycle ends with a Demo Day in front of investors. Curriculum has supported over 100 life sciences ventures that collectively raised more than USD 190 million in follow-on funding. Programme is genuinely free. No participation fee, no equity taken from your venture. The 2026 US-chapter deadline is 20 October 2026. International chapter deadlines vary.
Activator was previously branded as “Catalyst.” Older listings on third-party scholarship sites still use the old name.
Benefits
- Six months of structured mentorship from senior biotech founders, operating executives, and investors.
- Legal strategy sessions on IP, corporate structure, and equity vesting, provided by partner law firms at no cost.

- Demo Day pitch event in front of life-sciences VCs and corporate partners at the end of the programme.
- Lifetime access to the Nucleate global founder network (over 1,000 alumni founders).
