Rise Global Program 2027

Overview

Rise is a programme by Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust that identifies brilliant teenagers aged 15 to 17 worldwide and supports them for life through scholarships, mentorship, and grants. Open to applicants from every country including across Africa. The 2027 cycle closes 17 January 2027.

Eligibility

• Aged 15, 16, or 17 at the time of application.
• Open to applicants worldwide; no country, citizenship, or income restriction.
• Demonstrated potential through service, achievement, or leadership.
• Strong written and spoken English (the programme is run in English).

How to apply

1. Create an account at the Rise application portal at the source link.
2. Complete the multi-stage application: a project (any format, demonstrating who you are and what you can do), short questions, and references.
3. Submit before 17 January 2027.
4. Shortlisted applicants progress through interviews and group exercises during spring 2027. Winners are announced in summer 2027.
