Overview

The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship is funded by the Sawiris family of Egypt. It sends Egyptian and (in recent cycles) other African students to top US universities including Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Penn, Chicago, and Berkeley. Coverage is full: tuition, room, board, travel, and a settling-in allowance. The 2026 cycle closes 15 October 2026 for autumn 2027 entry.

How to apply

2. Open the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship application portal at the source link.
3. Complete the scholarship application: personal essays, financial-need documentation, academic transcripts, two references.
4. Submit before 15 October 2026.
5. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by Sawiris Foundation panellists in late 2026. Recipients are notified once US university admission decisions arrive in spring 2027.
