City Manager, Accra

About the role

Bolt is hiring a City Manager for Accra to lead the local Bolt rides operation. Bolt operates rides in 11 African countries and is one of the two largest ride-hailing platforms across the continent. The City Manager is the local general manager owning P&L, supply, demand, and brand for the Accra market. Application deadline 15 August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Own the Accra market P&L: revenue, gross bookings, contribution margin, and unit economics.
• Manage a local team of operations, marketing, and partner support associates (eight to fifteen reports).
• Set and execute supply (driver) and demand (rider) strategy in collaboration with regional leadership.
• Engage local regulators, partner organisations, and media as the public face of Bolt Accra.
• Report weekly to the West Africa Regional Manager.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of operations, consulting, or business management experience with at least two years managing a team.
• Strong analytical and financial-modelling skills (advanced Excel; SQL a plus).
• Track record of P&L ownership or comparable scope.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Authorisation to work in Ghana.

Nice to have

• Prior on-demand platform experience.
• Local network among Accra government, civic, or business stakeholders.
• MBA or Masters in business, economics, or engineering.
