About the role

Helios Investment Partners is the largest Africa-focused private equity firm, managing over USD 3 billion across investments in financial services, telecoms, energy, and consumer sectors. The Investment Analyst supports senior investment professionals on transaction execution, portfolio support, and sourcing. Application deadline 31 August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed financial models (LBO, DCF, scenario analyses) for prospective investments.
• Conduct due diligence: industry analysis, customer references, management background, and operational reviews.
• Author sections of investment committee memos.
• Support portfolio companies on strategic projects (operating reviews, M&A integration, capital structure work).
• Track sector trends across Helios’s focus geographies (West and East Africa, Maghreb).

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance), private equity, or strategy consulting at a top firm.
• Excellent financial-modelling skills (LBO, DCF, three-statement modelling).
• Strong written communication; demonstrated examples of analytical memos.
• Excellent academic record from a top university.
• Authorisation to work in Nigeria.

Nice to have

• Prior experience covering Africa.
• French language ability for francophone West African transactions.
• CFA Level 1 or progress toward CFA.
