Computer Vision Associate or Full Professor (Tenured)

About the role

Senior tenured faculty position at MBZUAI, the world’s first dedicated AI research university, in Abu Dhabi. Open to candidates at Associate or Full Professor level whose work has shaped computer vision over the past decade. Responsibilities

• Lead a research group in computer vision (recognition, generation, multimodal, embodied vision).
• Supervise PhD students and contribute to the MBZUAI doctoral programme.
• Teach two graduate courses per year in your specialisation.
• Engage in collaborations with regional industry (energy, healthcare, smart cities) and global research labs.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Track record of high-impact publications in top vision venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, TPAMI).
• Demonstrated success in attracting research funding and supervising doctoral students.
• Fluent English (MBZUAI’s working language).

Nice to have

• Best-paper or test-of-time awards at top vision venues.
• Strong industry collaboration record.
• Experience building or leading a research group.
