Country Manager, Ghana

About the role

mPharma is a Pan-African healthcare company that operates Mutti pharmacies and manages drug procurement and inventory for hospital and pharmacy partners across Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Gabon. The Country Manager, Ghana owns the Ghana P&L: Mutti pharmacies, hospital partnerships, and patient programmes. Application deadline 15 August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Own the Ghana P&L including Mutti pharmacy retail, hospital procurement contracts, and disease-management programmes.
• Lead the Ghana team (60 to 120 reports across operations, pharmacy, commercial, finance, and patient services).
• Set and execute country strategy: pharmacy network expansion, partnership development, brand campaigns.
• Engage local regulators (FDA Ghana, Pharmacy Council), suppliers, and partner organisations.
• Report monthly to the CEO and quarterly to the board.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of professional experience with five or more in P&L leadership.
• Track record of scaling a consumer or B2B business in healthcare, retail, or distribution.
• Strong analytical and financial-modelling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Authorisation to work in Ghana.

Nice to have

• Prior healthcare, pharma, or pharmaceutical retail experience.
• Existing network among Ghanaian healthcare regulators, hospitals, or suppliers.
• MBA from a top business school.
