About the role
Standard Chartered’s International Graduate Programme is an 18-month rotational programme spanning Corporate and Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance. The bank operates in 15 African markets and recruits a structured Africa cohort each year. Application deadline 30 September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Complete three to four rotations across business and function teams in your selected stream.
- Deliver project work for senior sponsors during each rotation.
- Pass internal banking and risk certifications during the programme.
- Participate in cohort training in Singapore, London, or Dubai (programme-funded).
- Build a sector or function specialisation track by month 12.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree (any discipline) graduated within the past two years or graduating in 2026.
- Eligible for placement in one of: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Cote d’Ivoire, or other Standard Chartered African markets.
- Excellent academic record (minimum upper-second or equivalent GPA).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.
- Fluent English; French an asset for francophone postings.
Nice to have
- Prior internship at a bank, consulting firm, or financial services company.
- Leadership experience in student or community organisations.
- Professional certification progress (CFA Level 1, ACCA papers).
