Islamic Development Bank Scholarship Programme 2027
A fully funded scholarship from Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), based in Multiple.
Overview
The Islamic Development Bank Group funds postgraduate study (Masters, PhD, and Postdoctoral) for citizens of its 57 member countries, plus Muslim communities in non-member countries. The programme has three tracks: Masters of Science, PhD, and Postdoctoral Research. Awards target STEM, development economics, agriculture, public health, and other fields aligned with IsDB development priorities. Around 100 to 150 awards per cycle. The 2027 cycle closes 15 March 2027.

Eligibility
- Citizen of an IsDB member country, or a Muslim from a non-member country.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher for PhD/postdoc applicants) with minimum 70 percent or equivalent.
- Aged under 30 for Masters, under 35 for PhD, under 40 for postdoctoral applications.
- Admission letter (provisional or final) from a recognised university in the chosen field.
- Field of study aligned with IsDB priorities: STEM, agriculture, health sciences, economics, finance, and similar applied disciplines.
- Strong commitment to return to and work in your home country (and to contribute to its development) after the studies.
How to apply
- Open the IsDB Scholarships page at the source link to confirm the current cycle’s eligible countries and priority fields.
- Apply for admission to a Masters, PhD, or postdoctoral position at a recognised university.
- Complete the IsDB online application form: personal details, academic transcripts, language certificates, three references, research proposal (for PhD/postdoc), and your university admission letter.
- Submit before 15 March 2027.
- Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the relevant IsDB regional office. Final awards are announced by July 2027 for September entry.
