KAIST International Student Scholarship 2027
A fully funded scholarship from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), based in South Korea.
Overview
KAIST is South Korea’s top science and technology university and one of Asia’s leading STEM-focused institutions. The KAIST International Student Scholarship funds international undergraduates and graduate students in engineering, natural sciences, business, and humanities and social sciences. Around 200 international undergraduates and 600 international graduate students per year. The 2027 spring intake closes 31 March 2027 for international applicants.

Eligibility
- Non-Korean citizen, with both parents non-Korean.
- Strong secondary or undergraduate academic record (top 10 percent of class for undergrad applicants).
- Strong English proficiency: TOEFL 83+ or IELTS 6.5+. Most programmes are taught in English.
- Aged under 25 (undergrad), under 30 (Masters), under 35 (PhD).
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree from a recognised institution (for graduate applicants).
- Demonstrated interest in STEM (KAIST is heavily science and engineering focused).
How to apply
- Open the KAIST admissions portal at the source link.
- Apply for admission to your target programme (undergrad, MS, PhD, integrated MS-PhD).
- Submit: academic transcripts, English proficiency scores, two recommendation letters, personal statement, and study plan.
- Submit before 31 March 2027 for spring 2027 admission (or by the relevant cycle deadline for fall intake).
- Admission and scholarship decisions are typically made together; results arrive between May and July 2027.
