OFID Scholarship Award for Postgraduate Students 2027
A fully funded masters scholarship from OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), based in Multiple.
Overview
The OPEC Fund for International Development sponsors one outstanding Masters student each cycle from a developing country (excluding OPEC member states) to study in any recognised university worldwide. The award is single-recipient: there is one scholar per cycle, selected from a global applicant pool. The 2027 cycle deadline is typically 30 April 2027.

Eligibility
- Citizen of a developing country, excluding citizens of OFID member states.
- Aged 23 to 32 at the time of application.
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree (or in the final year, expected to graduate before the start of the Masters) with a minimum cumulative average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Provisional or final acceptance to a Masters programme at a recognised university starting the autumn after the application.
- Field of study aligned with OFID’s developmental priorities: poverty alleviation, agriculture, food security, water and sanitation, energy, education, health, transport, financial services.
- Commitment to return to home country and work on development priorities for at least five years after graduation.

- Apply for admission to your chosen Masters programme; OFID does not coordinate university admissions.
- Complete the OFID application form online: personal information, academic records, two references, personal statement on development relevance, and your university admission letter (or proof of pending admission).
- Submit before 30 April 2027.
- The single Scholar is announced by August 2027 for September 2027 entry.
