The Sheffield Africa Scholarship is specifically for African nationals starting a one-year postgraduate taught Masters at the University of Sheffield. Eligibility
- Citizen of an African country, ordinarily resident in Africa at the time of application.
- Holding (or expecting) an offer of admission to a Sheffield postgraduate taught Masters for September 2027 entry.
- Strong undergraduate academic record (typically upper-second or first-class honours).
- Self-funding the remainder of tuition and all living costs.
- Not in receipt of full external funding for Sheffield tuition.
How to apply
- Apply for admission to your chosen Sheffield Masters programme through the Sheffield online application portal.
- Once you hold an offer, complete the Sheffield Africa Scholarship application form linked from the funding page.
- Submit a 500-word motivation letter on your career intent and connection to Africa.
- Submit before 30 April 2027.
- Scholarship decisions arrive between May and July 2027 for September 2027 entry.
