Scholarship eligibility checker

A few questions about you. The checker compares your answers with the basic rules of every scholarship on this site and tells you where you stand on each, and why.

Your details

What do you want to study?
Do you have a bachelor's degree?
And a Master's degree?
Where would you study? (choose any)

Your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent.

What the checker looks at
  • Nationality. Some awards are open to everyone, some to a set list of countries, and a few exclude one or two.
  • Level of study. Bachelor's, Master's or PhD. Each award funds only some of these.
  • Your degree. Whether you need it before you apply or only before you start, and for a few awards, how recent it is.
  • Work experience. From none at all to five years, depending on the award.
  • Age. Only some awards have an age limit, but the answer is needed to check those that do.
  • Where you want to go. Choose Anywhere to see every award.

How the checker works

Every scholarship page on this site is written from the funder's own rules. For the checker we take the rules that most often rule people out: nationality, the level of study the award pays for, when your degree has to be finished, minimum work experience, age limits and where the award lets you study. When an editor re-checks a listing, the checker uses the new rules straight away.

A scholarship goes in the first group when your answers meet all of those rules. It goes in the second group when something these questions cannot settle decides it, such as a national office's own conditions or a country list we could not confirm. It goes in the third group when one of your answers fails a rule, and we name the rule.

Closed rounds stay in the results. Most of these awards run every year, and knowing now that you qualify gives you months to prepare for the next round.

What it cannot tell you

Meeting the rules gets your application read. It does not make it competitive. Panels weigh your grades, your plans, your references and your fit with the funder's aims, and the checker knows nothing about those. Each result lists what else the award asks for. For the rest, start with writing the motivation letter and the mistakes that sink most applications.

If nothing matches, read how to find scholarships you are eligible for. Universities and governments run many more awards than any one site lists.

Rules last compared with the listings on 13 October 2026.
