Senior Product Manager, Pay-ins and Payouts

About the role

Korapay (also known as Kora) is a pan-African payment infrastructure provider processing cross-border and domestic payments for businesses across Africa. The company is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own its Pay-ins and Payouts product lines, which cover bank transfers, mobile money, card payments, and disbursement channels in existing and new markets. Responsibilities

• Set and execute product strategy for Pay-ins (bank transfers, mobile money, cards, EFT) and Payouts (disbursements, payout channels in markets where Korapay is expanding).
• Conduct user research with merchants, finance teams, and internal stakeholders to find gaps and decide what to build next.
• Write detailed product requirements and specifications; maintain and communicate the product roadmap to engineering, design, and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and business development to ship features on schedule and to spec.
• Define success metrics, monitor live products, and iterate based on data and user feedback.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a fintech or payments company.
• Demonstrated track record of shipping products in complex, regulated payment environments.
• Solid understanding of at least one category of African payment rails: bank transfers, mobile money (MTN MoMo, M-Pesa, Wave, Orange Money), card schemes, or cross-border corridors.
• Strong analytical skills: comfortable writing SQL queries or working in analytics tools to support decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English for cross-functional collaboration and executive updates.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in more than one African market, such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, or Ivory Coast.
• Engineering or software development background that helps in writing technical requirements.
• Exposure to compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to African financial services, including Central Bank guidelines, PCI-DSS, or AML/KYC requirements.
• Familiarity with payment failure analysis, chargeback management, or settlement reconciliation.
