Product Marketing Manager, Stripe Africa
A remote marketing role at Stripe, based in Remote (Africa).
About the role
Stripe is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to lead market-facing work across Africa. After acquiring Paystack in 2020, Stripe scaled its presence in Lagos, Nairobi, and Johannesburg. The role drives positioning, launches, and customer-facing collateral for African markets. Application deadline 31 August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Own product marketing for Stripe and Paystack offerings across African markets.
- Lead launches: positioning, messaging, sales enablement, customer-facing assets, press strategy.
- Partner with product, sales, and content teams to shape Stripe’s voice in Africa.
- Conduct market research with merchants, platforms, and ecosystem partners.
- Represent Stripe at industry events and merchant briefings across the continent.
Requirements
- Six or more years of product marketing experience, with at least two years in fintech, SaaS, or developer tools.
- Strong writing skills with examples of public-facing marketing collateral you have authored.
- Comfort working asynchronously across multiple African time zones and with global product teams.
- Deep understanding of African payments ecosystem.
- Authorisation to work in at least one African country (Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, or Egypt).
Nice to have
- Prior experience at a payments, fintech, or developer-tools company.
- Existing relationships with African merchant brands or technology media.
- French, Portuguese, Arabic, or Swahili language ability.
