Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (NTU) 2027

Overview

The Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholarship is NTU’s most prestigious PhD award, granted to the top 10 percent of PhD candidates each year. Awards cover full tuition, generous stipend, and conference travel for up to four years. Around 100 awards per year across all NTU schools. NTU is consistently ranked among the world’s top 30 universities. The 2027 January intake deadline is 30 November 2026.

Eligibility

• Citizen of any country (open to all nationalities).
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with first-class honours, OR Masters degree with distinction.
• Outstanding research potential demonstrated through publications, thesis work, or relevant research experience.
• English proficiency: TOEFL 100+ or IELTS 7.0+; native speakers exempt.
• Identified NTU supervisor and PhD research topic.

How to apply

1. Open the NTU Graduate Admissions portal at the source link.
2. Identify your target school, supervisor, and PhD topic.
3. Apply for the PhD programme AND indicate interest in the Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholarship in the same application.
4. Submit: academic transcripts, English certificate, three recommendation letters, statement of purpose, research proposal, and writing samples.
5. Submit before 30 November 2026 for January 2027 intake.
6. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in January-February 2027. Final awards announced by April 2027.
